| Farmer's Markets
Thank you for making this a popular source on the web -- when I assembled this
page with maps of regional Farmers Markets, I had no idea this would become such a
resource to so many folks. Welcome!
I've arranged these roughly in a north to south pattern.
A good deal of information on Farmer's Markets in California is available from the
updated website kept by the
California Federation of Certified Farmer's Markets
http://
fcafarmersmarkets.com/, accessed 3/27/2005.
Here are farmer's markets reasonably close to San Francisco, the South Bay
and Santa Cruz, with local maps.

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

Saturday mornings, One Embarcadero, SF
Phone: 415 353-5650
The official website of the
The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, sponsored by :CUESA - the Center for Urban Education about
Sustainable Agriculture has been wonderfully updated since their move "home" into
the refurbished Ferry Building in San Francisco in 2003, and includes a lot of new
information. Check out their growing list of links to organic farms around the state.
This is the most "upscale" in-town market. Seasonally, you'll also find artists
out selling their wares as nearby sidewalk vendors. Also take time to peruse the
market hall inside the Ferry Building itself!
