Here is a collection of some of the first digital mandalas I have made since 2002. It feels rather good to have "outgrown" a page. Click on any thumbnail to see a larger detail.

Eucalyptus Sky This and the next are slices of the same color-study photo of a eucalyptus on Angel Island, CA, from our visit last summer. May 17, 2004		The eucalyptus bark peels and sheds naturally, so as it grows it's always got this interesting mottling of its skin. May 17, 2004

In the above set, I had begun playing with flipping the image and creating a bookend (folded symmerty) wedge to begin making the mandala.
